Sprung from the Martha Stewart/Ina Garten/Food Network craze of the nineties, butter yellow has seen a massive resurgence lately and it’s given me a lot of feelings 😅

Most importantly, my relationship with wearing yellow. As an almost lifelong blondie, I’d convinced myself that yellow looked terrible on me. It washed me out, it blended with my hair, it was just all wrong. I’ve thought this way for as long as I can remember, and even as this trend arose - I thought “how nice for everyone but me” and then I stopped myself…

Was my yellow aversion warranted? Or cut from some 2002 Teen Vogue article that put me in a box? So I bought a yellow top and it turns out I LOVE wearing yellow! In defiance of my 32 years spent without it, I decided to dye up my perfect, creamy butter yellow 💛 I can’t wait to wear this color forever!
