Ordering
A preorder is the style of shop update we do. We post a collection of colorways at one time that can be ordered on any of our base yarn options. The preorder stays open for a set period of time, usually a weekend. We then close the collection, dye all the orders, and ship them out.
Our current collection's turnaround time is expected to be 10 weeks.

Our Home yarn line is also available and ready to ship - currently offered in a DK weight with other weights coming in 2026!
Currently we stock wool yarns and wool yarn blends that are farmed in Argentina and Uruguay, milled in Peru, and transported by an American supplier. All of our fibers are certified mulesing free.
Our Home yarn line is grown, dyed, milled, and spun in the US from sheep to skein!

The best thing about hand dyed yarn is that every skein is unique! The exact same recipes are used for all of our skeins within a specific colorway and we have extremely high quality control standards to keep color consistent. However, there are many factors that can affect the final skein and you may see slight variation on your skein.
Each collection's colorways are available only while the collection is open on our website.
For this reason, we strongly recommend grabbing as many skeins of a colorway as you'd need to complete the project in mind (if you have one) since you may not be able to buy more of that colorway later on.
Annually, we bring back select colorways from throughout the year in our Greatest Hits Collections and as Colors of the Week. Some beloved colorways will return but not all of them.
However, if you come up short when working on a project please send us email with the details and we'll check the studio for extra skeins!
Since 2019, we've been proud to offer our Reward Program! Anyone with a Sewrella Yarn account is automatically enrolled (signup for free here) and every purchase earns Purls or points toward discounts and free products. Learn more about our Reward Program here.
We also offer an inclusivity discount on all of our pattern kits sized XL and up! These discounts are automatically applied at checkout.
The kit discount tiers are as follows:
-XL, 2X, and 3X - 10% off
-4X and 5X kits - 15% off
We will honor the Inclusivity Discount on any project you'd like (even if we aren't offering a kit for that pattern) to make in a size XL or larger. Just send us an email with your order details stating you'd like to participate in our Inclusivity Discount program and we will refund the discount amount within 5 business days.
Inclusivity discounts cannot be combined with reward program discounts.
Shipping
Yes! We ship worldwide to over 240 countries, there are just additional shipping fees to get your yarn safely to you. Be aware you may incur additional customs fees depending on your own country's customs policies.
We do! You'll find local pickup as a FREE delivery option at checkout. We only offer pickup at our dye studio in Apex, North Carolina. Our pickup hours are Monday - Friday from 9am - 5 pm. If you would like to pickup locally and these hours don't work for you, please contact us and we may be able to arrange a different pickup time.
If anyone selects local pickup during checkout who is not able to pickup at our studio in Apex, we will email you directly to arrange and invoice for shipping.
Our current collection processing time is 10 weeks from the time of order placement.
Our current in stock processing time is 10-15 business days from the time of order placement.
