Sewrella's Autumn Make-a-Long

With the Autumn Tonal season comes all my favorite things about fall: cool crisp mornings, cozy sweaters, pumpkin spiced everything, and so many knit & crochet projects.

I'm so excited to see our palette of 15 Autumn Tonals return again this year and I wanted to give even more inspiration and purpose to these colorways, some of my all time favorites.

With that, we have the 2026 Autumn Make-a-Long! A curated selection of pattern kits are available OR let the colorways guide you to another project all together. Read on to find out more about the Make-a-Long details, where to participate, how to win prizes, and why I love each of the featured kits for this season.

Sewrella's Autumn Make-a-Long

What: We are knitting or crocheting any project using the 15 Autumn Tonal colorways!

When: October 1st - November 13th

Where: On our dedicated Ravelry Forum here, and on Instagram (make sure to tag @sewrellayarn and #SewrellaAutumnMAL)

Who: Everyone is welcome!

How: There is no need to sign up! Just participate on Ravelry and/or on Instagram! Make sure to post a photo of your finished project in the FO Forum HERE by November 13th, 2026 at noon EST to be entered to win the GRAND prize!

What to make

When I first started dreaming up this MAL (Make-a-Long) I was thinking about all the samples in my handmade wardrobe that have used Autumn Tonals from seasons past. We've carried the same palette of tonals for several years and I've collected some favorite pieces in that time. 

I knew I wanted to bring back the kits for those projects, offering them again for those that haven't yet knit the Rosie Sweater or crocheted the Grandpa Sweater Vest. Anddd then I was browsing on Ravelry...

I saw so many gorgeous things (too many really) and thought "why don't I select some projects to feature as inspiration for the make-a-long?" ...so I did!

It was hard to limit the selections to just a few but I tried to choose a variety of projects that would be perfectly suited to the season.

In My Stripes Era Cardigan - I’ll be knitting this cozy striped cardigan for the MAL (if I can stick to one project, that is) and I had so much fun putting together color combinations for it! Holding Suri Lace together with a fingering weight yarn will make for a luxurious cardigan.

Pro tip - if you'd like to knit this cardigan without holding yarns double, a cheaper alternative is to use a single strand of DK weight yarn instead. Just shop the color you like a la carte.

Autumn Pullover - I couldn’t help but add this oversized autumn sweater to the curated kit options for the MAL. It’s begging to be made in Autumn Tonals and 14" of positive ease means it’ll be plenty warm & cozy for the season - available in any color.

Dutchess County Fairgrounds Cowl - We love a mini skein project and this cowl by @twoofwands is just that! Using 10 of the Autumn Tonal minis for its original design, your project is sure to turn out exactly as pictured - textural stitches and loads of cozy color included.

Scarf No. 5 - A two toned triangular scarf is just the kind of palette cleanser that offers a fresh start to cozy season. Written in three sizes, with a kit that includes the yarn required for any size and in multiple color options, this neck scarf is sure to be in your cold season wardrobe rotation for years to come.

Knit Pumpkins - Name a cuter project for fall! Knit pumpkins with little stems and leaves in tones of orange, brown, and rustic green are irresistable on a mantle or tablescape. We bundled these as a mini set and I can’t help but want to cast on (or three) on!

Crochet Pumpkins - This sweet little pumpkin patch is crocheted with DK weight yarn in an arrangement of autumnal oranges, browns, and greens. Perfect for decorating a table or mantle, this pattern includes 5 different sizes!
