The NY Sheep and Wool Festival is held every year in beautiful upstate New York in a little town called Rhinebeck. It's a big festival, kind of like the yarn world's super bowl and we got invited to participate in an event nearby for the first time ever!
NY Sheep & Wool is a big mix of fiber industry creators, everyone from sheep farmers to knitters are involved and the booths & events offered are of a wide range. In order to niche down to our world of knitter-focused hand dyed yarns and notions, an auxiliary event was created about ten years ago called Indie Untangled.
Indie Untangled is held the Friday before NY Sheep and Wool, this year on October 14th. Here you'll find booths of indie dyers like us as well as other makers that sell notions and keepsakes for knitters and crocheters. It's a big event and people love to shop there!
Although we were invited to Indie Untangled, we will actually be popping up this year at the local yarn shop in the town Indie is held in, Saugerties, NY. The Perfect Blend Yarn & Tea asked us to bring our ENTIRE Autumn in New York Collection because it's too perfect for this autumnal event in the state for which the collection was named!
