Anyone who knows me knows I love gardening, I get giddy over an earthworm (and so do the kids, screaming “hi mister worm!!!”) and I love to watch the bees buzzing from flower to flower. Hearing their hum and the way their soft little landings make the plants sway brings me a sort of calm that’s hard to put into words. They remind me that the littlest things can spark joy 🥹

Honeybee is the only yellow in the Home palette, a bright sunshine mustard color that complements just about every other color in the palette.

The perfect yellow 🐝

Honeybee is such a gorgeous shade of yellow, not too vibrant, but perfectly warm and inviting. I can’t wait to use it!

My New Colorwork Staple

I was very excited to finally be able to try out Home.

The yarn met and exceeded my expectations. The yarn in skein is soft, however my finished object softed 25% more after blocking. The put up of a skein is easy to work with, and the weight of the yarn is versatile while still working up satisfyingly quickly.

I used this in a 3-color hat along with Rainy Day and Cast Iron and was enchanted with how well the colors played and flowed into a simple stranded colorwork pattern. I used US 5s for the brim and 7s for the colorwork and was pleased with the fabric.

Perhaps my favorite part of this yarn is the color palette. It begs me to mix and match all 20 colors- I knew I wanted to make a 3-color hat, and spent hours trying to pick 3 that were my favorite!

I regret to say I did not measure my gauge or test a swatch in the washing machine
