What is a preorder?

A preorder is the style of shop update we do. We post a collection of colorways at one time that can be ordered on any of our base yarn options. The preorder stays open for 24 hours. We then close the shop, dye all the orders and ship out in 6-8 weeks.

What kinds of yarn do you stock?
Currently we stock only protein fibers sourced within the USA.
We carry 5 yarn bases and their information is on each and every colorway listing.

What projects can I make with each base yarn?
As always, have fun and make what you love! I do have some suggestions for what I would make with each of our base yarns to help make sense of so many options.
  • Mohair - hold together with classic yarns to add a fuzzy halo to sweaters and cardigans
  • Classic Sock - socks, shawls, lightweight sweaters
  • Classic DK - hats, scarves, sweaters
  • Classic Worsted - scarves, hats, cardigans
  • Classic Bulky - blankets, hats, outerwear

Will my yarn look exactly like the photos?
Sometimes. The best thing about hand dyed yarn is that every skein is unique! The exact same dye applications are used for all of our skeins within a specific colorway and we do our best to keep color consistent. However, there are many factors that can affect the final skein and you may see slight variation on your skein.

Will I be able to order more of this yarn after this collection closes?
Sorry, friend. Each collection's colorways are available only while the collection is up for sale on the website. We love to change things up and will be bringing in a brand new collection on the 1st of each month!

For this reason, we strongly recommend grabbing as many of a colorway as you'd need to complete the project in mind (if you have one) since you won't be able to buy more of that colorway from us later on.

I don't live in the USA. Can I still buy your yarn?
Yes! We ship worldwide to over 240 countries, there are just additional shipping fees to get your yarn safely to you. Be aware you may incur additional customs fees depending on your own country's customs policies.

I bought some yarn, how long before it ships?
Our current processing time is 6-8 weeks from the time of order placement.
What are Limited Edition items?
Our own line of tea comes from Tebella Tea Company from our old hometown in Tampa, Florida. In collaboration with this wonderful, woman-owned small business we are able to bring you new teas every month that coordinate perfectly with our themed collections. Tea will ship together with yarn orders.
Wool Wash is a new product that we make in house. These are available in unscented and in three scent options that pair perfectly with our collection themes. They are made with natural ingredients that are suitable for sensitive skin. Use 1 tablespoon of wool wash per gallon of water.

How do I prepare your yarn to knit or crochet with?
Our yarns are wound into hanks so you'll need to wind them into balls or cakes to work with. I've linked a couple of easy youtube videos below to help you!
